HU celebrates National Intern Day

Rohini G National Intern Day (2)

Experiential learning lies at the heart of the HU experience, so it’s no surprise we celebrate  National Intern Day!

Created by WayUp, a U.S.-based job website and mobile app for college students and recent graduates, National Intern Day is a holiday dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the future leaders of the world: Interns!

While enrolled at HU, students in every major are required to complete an internship. In fact, U.S. News and World Report has ranked HU #3 in the nation among colleges with the highest internship rates.

We are so proud of all of our students completing internships and are grateful to our employer partners who sponsor our internships.

Internships this Summer have looked a little different as various students across a variety of programs are completing them virtually. Despite this, students still are able to gain experience, develop professionally, and explore future career options.

We are especially excited to celebrate this year as one of our students is in the running to make the TheWayUp Top 100 Intern List.

Rohini Gubhaju, a senior Management and eBusiness major, is a list contender.

During her time at HU, Gubhaju has taken on three internships and has expanded her knowledge extensively through all of her experiences. She is interning with Lancaster’s J.L. Clark, and will be evaluated by an expert panel reviewing criteria on impact, work ethic, project contributions, professional development, and future career plans. Winners will be announced in August.

On behalf of Harrisburg University we celebrate our interns and express our thanks and appreciation to our partnering organizations!

Happy National Intern Day!
